Iecavnieks&Co Ltd. produces 2 food oils - rapeseed oil and linseed oil. All oils are cold pressed and unrefined: unrefined plant oil is extracted
from oilseeds by the cold pressing method, then it is filtered and separated.
Such oil, contrary to refined oil, preserves all biologically active matters,
including vitamin E, its natural colour, odour and taste as well. Refining means
chemical treatment of oil and as a result the oil becomes clear with no sediments,
lighter and it loses the oil's characteristic taste and odour.
We will offer a unique product- "Kanape"- made of crushed hempseeds. Hempseeds contain
25- 35% of oil that is rich in unsaturated fatty acids of great value, proteins,
mineral substances and biologically active components that do not disappear during
the technological processing stage. For "Kanape" production only locally grown
oil hemp (Canabis sativa) will be used, the seeds do not contain any narcotic substance
THC or delta-9 tetrahydrocanabinol. We also offer the hemp-spread with linseeds.
Ground linseeds, packed in a vacuum packaging, are recommended as a great source
of proteins. Linseeds are rich in fibrous matters and therefore they help to adjust
metabolic processes, strengthen immunity and improve digestive system function;
they contain mucous-matters, polyunsaturated fatty acids, Omega3 and Omega6.
The oil factory imeets all standards required for food-producing
factories by the Latvian State's and the EU's normative acts
